Anna Fleet, is a freelance writer, editor, blogger and Search Engine Optimization expert. She currently holds a regular gig as a marketing/business writer for Open Text, a high-tech company based in Waterloo, Ontario. However she accepts freelance work through her company Anna Fleet INK.
Born in Cambridge, Ontario, Anna’s work has been published internationally in TV Guide Magazine, Homemaker’s, What’s Up Kids?, Can-Fit-Pro, KM World, Florida Travel Magazine, The Cambridge Times, Mochasofa.ca, The University of Waterloo Magazine and The Canadian Aboriginal News. She also regularly lends her editing skills to the Canadian Poetry Association. Anna’s first dramatic screenplay, Hand-Me-Downs, was selected as the University of Western Ontario’s1997 major theatrical production, on which got her hands dirty as both writer and director.
Her Web-writing, editing and SEO skills are as diverse as they are copious. Anna was the face and voice behind FitnessGear101.com, and she acted the Senior Editor of TheBreastSite.com, MenopauseInsight.com, TheWheelchairSite.com, HearingAids101.com, MassageTherapy101.com, PilatesInsight.com and many more during her four-year tenure at Geosign Corporation.
Anna is also an active volunteer within the community. She has led writing and literacy tutoring workshops for Core Literacy, and Genest Detention Center for Young Offenders (located in London, Ontario). In addition she co-developed and mentored teen girls through a variety of after school programs for the Youth Resource Center in Guelph, Ontario.
Anna holds a Bachelor of Honors in English from the University of Western Ontario, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Journalism/New Media from Sheridan College.
