Interesting question. Do most Canadian's understand (or care to) where we are within the current 'revoultion'? Perhaps not. When you think of wireless and the next revolution, you instantly think of the telcom providers, and the manufacturers. Rogers/Bell/Telus on the telco side are all very strong, and invest quite effectively in their network infrastructure. Manufacturers, RIM, global rockstar, nuff said. Canadians should be well positioned for the next revolution as the depth of talent and thought leadership within the 'CDN Wireless' community is world class.
