- To be a leader in digital media all Canadians should be connected to all Canadian content on a fair and transparent basis
- All Canadians should have the opportunity to participate fully in the digital world – an increasingly mobile world
- Success requires new business models that encourage national collaboration and co-operation.

Thanks to all of you, the Canada 3.0 Forum was a resounding success. We were overwhelmed by the turnout, thrilled by the high level of active participation, and delighted with the energy and enthusiasm directed toward Canada’s digital future. At the Canada 3.0 Forum, a two-day conference this week, leaders from the University of Waterloo hope to show how digital media is a key part of the country’s economic-recovery plans. The conference will identify “national priorities and development of key stages in a Canada-wide strategy for international competitiveness in the digital media,” according to its Web site.
